A thin layer of Vaseline is applied to the area to be tattooed, making it moisturize and lubricate the skin, allowing the needle to glide over the tattooed skin without friction. It can be used as a base to fix the Ink cups on the workbench, and in the case of body piercing, it can be used as a lubricant for the needle before piercing.
